Crew

I have decided to hire my own crew for this project to be my DOP and camera operator. I ideally would like two or three separate people so I can entirely focus on directing during the shoot.

I decided to firstly look at some of the former Media Production students on the Learning Network who had gone on to form their own companies and ask them first. I thought this would be a good idea because they would know the standards I am adhering to and know the University equipment.

The first people I got in contact with were STRAY DOGS VIDEO as they directly advertised themselves to be hired out as a DOP.

I also contacted SHY FILMS and asked for the same assistance, I am hoping that the familiarity of the project and my association with the University will encourage them to want to help.

Commercial Crew Sites

I then started looking at commercial sites, the best one being 4RFV. I emailed a few companies off of that site alone that were in the area. 

I emailed the same email to 'Ant Leake', 'Blue Fin Productions', 'Richard Jeffs', 'Shane Cairn', 'Peter Batten' and 'Vincent De Paula', professional camera operators, and the company 'hotcam' who said they would hire out crew and equipment.

UPDATE: 20th October

I have so far received no suitable applications for my DOP/Camera Operator so have followed the advice from my tutor and posted on SHOOTING PEOPLE. I also paid for a years membership which I think will be very useful for future projects. Since I put the post up I have received multiple applicants.
